No feedback was received via the friends and family scheme this month. Please either respond to our texts our fill in the forms available at Reception to let us know whether you would recommend our services.
Family & Friends Test March 19
One feedback form was received which did not indicate whether the user would or would not recommend our services.
Since February we have been opening for selected appointments from 8:00am. This is intended to allow patients access earlier in the morning to help our patients who have personal commitments such as work through the day time. We have received excellent feedback regarding this and are planning to continue this initiative for the foreseeable future.
Family & Friends Test February 19
In February we received 5 feedback forms. 3 via text 2 would recommend our services and 1 was unsure. Of the 2 paper feedback forms one was extremely likely to recommend us stating that 'all staff always happy and more than helpful!'. The 2nd was unlikely to recommend us with the comment 'very unpleasant receptionist, spoke down to me and was very rude whilst asking for advise'. The patient left the name of the receptionist and upon investigation it would appear that the demands of the patients to speak to an individual without a prearranged appointment which was not possible and the lateness of the other attendee were the issue that they were unhappy to have not been accommodated for.

In January we provided 2041 appointments. We received 2 text and 2 paper responses for our friends and family questions. All responders would recommend our services and we received a lovely comment about the staff: 'friendly, helpful and easy to talk to'.

In December we provided 1610 appointments. We have received 2 text responses and one paper response to our Family & Friends Questions and are happy to say that all responders would be recommend our services.

In November we provided 2303 appointments. We have received 2 text responses to our Family & Friends Questions and are happy to say that both would be recommend our services.
Extended Practice Hours
Need an evening or weekend appointment? TyneHealth [North Tyneside’s GP Federation] provides patients registered in North Tyneside with the opportunity to book appointments in local Extended Access GP Hubs.
The appointments are provided by local doctors and nurses who work in North Tyneside GP practices and have full access to your medical record. Appointments are currently being offered at the following locations:

The Extended Access Hub operates:
Monday to Friday 16:00 – 20:00
Saturday 09:00 – 14:00
Sunday 09:00 – 13:00
Bank holidays 09:00 – 13:00
Appointments can be booked by contacting your own GP practice or via the TyneHealth Extended Access Hub number 0191 486 2195 when your GP surgery is closed.
Please note that opening times and services offered at different venues will vary. Please also note this this is not a Walk In service and that appointment times and availability may vary. Patients will be given an appointment at the most convenient location for them.

We received 5 online feedback forms in September. 4 indicated they would be extremely likely to recommend our practice and 1 indicated they were likely to recommend us to family and friends.

We received 4 online feedback forms again which indicated all 4 patients would recommend our practice. There were no handwritten feedbacks again this month.

We received 2 online feedbacks. One who stated they would recommend and one that didn't know.

We received 4 online feedbacks all of who responded to say they would recommend our services.

We received 5 online feedbacks. 4 were likely to recommend us and 1 unlikely. We also received 4 feedback cards. 2 were extremely likely to recommend our services one of which made the comment that receptionist very helpful. One feedback they were likely to recommend us and the final one stated they were extremely unlikely to recommend us. Complaining about the attitude of our new receptionist. If this person would like to give further feedback regarding these comments then we would welcome this.

We received 2 online feedbacks. One was unlikely and one likely but no comment. We also received two feedback cards. One was neither likely or unlikely to recommend our services and the other was extremely likely stating 'Everyone is always very pleasant and helpful and the doctors are great.'

We received 3 feedback cards for this month. 2 were extremely likely to recommend our surgery and the other was likely. 2 respondents left no comment but the following feedback was provided and shared with staff. Health Care Assistants were lovely this morning and really put me at ease as very unwell. This surgeries staff are all excellent Thank God for them.

4 responses again all from the text system. 1 patient was unlikely to recommend our services, 1 couldn't say whether they would or wouldn't and 3 say that they would recommend our services to others.

Mixed response this month. 2 responders said they were unlikely to recommend our services, 1 was unlikely, 1 was likely and 1 would recommend us. It's quite hard to respond to reasons patients wouldn't recommend us so we would encourage you to use our feedback mechanism or complete a Friends and Family response which will give us the opportunity to look in to any problems.

Again we have received no feedback forms. We have now introduced a text feedback form for friends and family in the hope of increasing feedback.

Unfortunately we have received no feedback this month. We are hoping to implement a text service which will be used to hopefully gain further feedback in the forthcoming months.
What's Time Swap??
Have you heard about Time Swap?? Time Swap is a new initiative in North Shields where you can use your talents and experiences to help those in your local community and help yourself at the same time! For every hour of time you give to someone, you get an hour back for something you need. For example, if you were good in the garden, but not confident with computers, you could trade an hour helping someone who needed gardening help, for an hour with someone who could help you get to grips with emailing and social media. February Friends & Family Feedback
One feedback form received with some constructive comments regarding the online prescription requests. We are currently looking in to these comments and hope to make improvements if it is within our powers :) The responder didn't know if they would recommend us.... hopefully we can change to an extremely likely.

We received two feedback forms this month. One was likely to recommend us and one was extremely unlikely leaving feedback regarding the need to give details of your appointment requirement with reception. Unfortunately as this was not actually reported to the Reception Manager then we cannot resolve their unhappiness.

There were two feedback forms received and both gave conflicting feedback. One response indicated they were extremely likely to recommend us and noted that they felt very reassured during appointment rather than being passed over whilst the other was extremely unlikely stating 'waiting times are poor and organisation of Nelson medical practice are extreamlly poor, GP's are unproffinal'. verbatim translation.
August Friends & Family Feedback
This month we have received 5 feedback forms and we're proud to say that all responses stated they were extremely likely to recommend us. We received some lovely feedback about our staff which will be shared with them all and in particular Dr Cooke was praised highly.
